Stung Out was started in 1992 and immiadately became popular with their powerhouse approach to punk rock. Their sound combines melodic overtones and powerful hardcore riffing. After releasing an independant 7" they hooked up with Fat Wreck Chords and released their first full length album, Another Day In Paradise in 1994. They went on tour in Europe with NOFX and then to Japan. They toured North America with Face To Face and the Vandals. They followed Another Day In Paradise with their second full length album, Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues, released 1996. After touring for a while, they got back to record another album, Twisted By Design with producer Ulrich Wild and was release in 1998. Later on in 1998, they released another album called, The Skinny Years. In early 1999 bass player and co-founder of Strung Out, Jim Cherry was asked to leave the band and was replaced by Craig Riker of Jughead's Revenge and he stayed for a short time then went off and did his own thing. Then they picked up Chris Aiken who is now currently in the band. To start the year 2000, Strung Out came out with their 6th full length album called The Element of Sonic Defiance. They are now currently on tour.
